What The Mind Can Conceive…

Napoleon Hill, author of the classic book, Think and Grow Rich, is credited with the following phrase:  ‘What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve‘.

The following is a video of Napoleon Hill giving a talk about this concept.  Quite a video, and perhaps you will find it worth your time.  It’s longer than most videos I post and I found it fascinating to view the entire piece.

The concept is so logical and so basic to everything about our lives.  Think about it!

What are your thoughts about Napoleon Hill?  Have you read the book?  Perhaps the question is how many times have you read the book?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

One More Step

Below is a post I wrote last year and thought it was worth re-posting.  What are your thoughts on moving forward constantly with your ideas, etc. until you achieve the result you want?

“Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.”  Napole0n Hill wrote this in his classic Think and Grow Rich.

Have you read this important book?  If not, I would highly recommend it.  It was written many years ago and has been suggested as must-reading by every personal development expert I’ve ever heard.  Not only that, but some friends and associates of mine, as well as people I’ve met through networking have indicated they have gained insight from it.  And these are people who don’t necessarily know or care much about personal development.

What are you working on that perhaps you are feeling up against a wall about?  What project are you ready to quit because it is not going as well as you thought it might at this point?  Well, maybe it’s time to get back to it and see how you can get it done and complete the task or project.  Maybe it’s time to look at your project from another view.

A week or so ago, I wrote about Thomas Edison.  He had lots of inventions, but the light bulb was apparently a bit of a challenge.  Edison had a great outlook.  Apparently, he was being interviewed about the success that he finally had with it.  When asked about the 1,000 failures he had on his way to being successful, he replied that he had not had failure, only success in the 1,000 experiments to learn how not to make the light bulb.  Now that’s a mindset!

Napoleon Hill had some amazing concepts in Think and Grow Rich, but the concept of taking that one more step that may lead to your success just makes sense, especially today when we have so many things available to get done what we need to do.

What is that one more step you need to take?

Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill wrote the classic, Think and Grow Rich, back in the 30’s.  You’ve probably heard about it and perhaps even read it.  If not, I suggest you do.  There is a new version out that I bought last year that’s an easier read.

Napoleon Hill was so matter-of-fact about his findings of the research he did for so many years about what makes for success and wealth.  The one thing about people who have wealth that’s indisputable is that there are many, many philanthropists who help our society a great deal.  What a wonderful thing to have the resources to give to so many great causes.
