In thinking about what to write for this post, the word ‘ponder‘ jumped in my head. Wow! It was crazy. I knew I needed to write about it.
According to Wikipedia it merely means, to engage in thought. As I was thinking of this word, it reminded me of a recording from Jim Rohn, where he used this word in his eloquent way of making a point.
When we think and ponder on the word ponder, wouldn’t you agree that some people would be in a better place if they had pondered about a decision they may have faced, a choice they needed to make?
Perhaps when we come upon a situation in our life that needs us to act on something, in some way, we should ponder it in our minds. Ponder it in the quiet of our mind before coming to a decision or conclusion.
I can think of a few situations even recently, where there was something unsettling I needed to figure out. I consciously decided to mull it around, ponder it a bit. And what do you know? The answer came to my mind. I figured out how to deal with it.
What about you? How do you deal with situations like that? Are you a ponderer? Would like to hear about it.
