So much has been written about success that some might think we’ve exhausted the subject. Well, I’m no expert on success, but I have my personal thoughts about the topic.
To me, success is worth pursuing. Actually though, it’s not a destination, it’s a journey. I’m sure most of you have heard this concept.
So what does that mean? Journey to where? What is the destination? Well, as far as I know, the real destination is reached at a time in our life, yet unknown to us. And let’s face it, we want to be on the journey as long as we can.
To me, being on the journey, striving for success, is about all the little things we do each day that make us feel good about how we have used our time. Each day, and within each hour, what were we aiming to achieve? What do we wake up each morning and decide to accomplish that day? Or is your day just kind of unfolding in a random way?
So, by deciding each day what we will do and accomplish, how does it make us feel at the end of the day, when we have either accomplished it or maybe not.
These could be work projects, household tasks, family events, mundane maintenance tasks, etc. What is it for you?
We each get to decide what will make us successful at any given time. And little by little, one day at a time, we achieve and accomplish the pieces of a project or perhaps a whole project.
What have you been successful at lately?
